BackYard Candle Company
Opening a store has been a dream of Tricia Whisler and her mother Linda Messer’s for many years. Finally, in September of 2007 that dream came true. BackYard Candle Company was established. The store is located “a few steps above” at 118 ˝ E Washington St, across from the State Theatre.

We offer a wide variety
of home décor, candles, antiques, and much more. The candles are made
right here in Washington and are 100 % soy. We sell 3 sizes of
candles and fill any container that will hold water. Refills are also
available for our customers. They bring in any clean and approved
container and we fill the container for just 55 cents an ounce. We
offer many scents: Coconut Cream Pie, Garden Pavilion,
French Market,
Grandma’s Kitchen, Iced Cinnamon Roll, Pumpkin Cheesecake, Country
Clothesline, Sugar Cookie, Twigs & Berries, Pink Sugar, Blue Sugar,
Rosemary, and many more. Our store hours are Tuesday through Friday
10 am to 5 pm and Saturday 10 am to 3 pm. Come up and see us!
